Horizonworks gears up for future growth with senior appointment
Full service strategic marketing company Horizonworks has made a senior appointment to support a major growth drive.
Emma Parker has been appointed as business and finance manager and will be instrumental in strengthening Horizonworks’ operational arm of the business.
Horizonworks has seen a period of rapid growth over the last six months, securing a number of new clients across sectors such as automotive, professional services, manufacturing and healthcare.
Since March this year, the company has won the contract to deliver design and creative work for network organisation the North East Automotive Alliance, and has been appointed to supply full-service marketing services for both Durham-based Reprotec, which provides resin-based solutions for the repair and protection of building fabric, and Washington-headquartered Franks Portlock, a leading asbestos management consultancy.
In addition, 2016 has seen Horizonworks deliver marketing services to new clients FEG, a Washington-based project engineering specialist, Hospitality Guaranteed, an accommodation, conference and event management specialist headquartered in Wynyard Park, Broad Chare Partners, a Newcastle-based wealth management practice, and Physiotherapy Matters, a Newcastle-based physiotherapy practice.
Horizonworks was founded by managing director Samantha Davidson in 2010. It specialises in business to business marketing for organisations working in manufacturing and engineering, healthcare and life sciences, technology and innovation, professional services and the public sector.
Emma, from Wylam, Northumberland, is an Institute of Financial Services qualified banking professional with over 15 years’ experience working with SMEs in the North East region, primarily in business and corporate banking with HSBC. She later moved in-house to manage a number of projects for a regional SME.
Emma has a vast depth of expertise in relationship management, financial analysis and strategy, and she will be joining the senior management team to support Horizonworks’ continued expansion and to help the company reach its growth objectives. Her responsibilities at Horizonworks will include finance, HR and project management.
Emma said: “Horizonworks is a dynamic, exciting business that has a clear vision and tremendous ambition, plus a diverse range of clients.
“I’m really looking forward to supporting Samantha and the rest of the team in shaping the company’s future growth – and to be working in a lively, vibrant environment.”
Samantha Davidson, managing director of Horizonworks, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Emma to the Horizonworks team – she will play a major role in the growth of the company in 2016 and beyond.
“She will play a major part in both the day to day running of Horizonworks and in enabling the company to maximise its growth potential. Her background in commercial finance is a real asset to the business and her skills and experience will prove highly valuable as we move forward.”
Emma’s appointment is part of an on-going recruitment drive at Horizonworks, which is boosting its 11-strong team across a number of departments.
Horizonworks’ clients include national commercial law firm Watson Burton, Billingham-based pump distributor and manufacturer Tomlinson Hall, international bioprocessing solutions provider Parker domnick hunter, engineering and business training provider Seta, high security panel systems manufacturer Securiclad, speciality chemicals company Devine Chemicals, and performance, engagement and wellbeing consultancy firm Wellbeing Works.
