Moving forward and looking to the future!
Our managing director, Samantha Vassallo, reflects on the past few months, looks to the future and shares what is in store for of Horizon Works.
It has been a challenging time for many businesses over the past few months. Horizon Works has been no exception. We have had to change the way we work by adapting to working with home and embracing communications platforms such as Teams and Zoom. We, like other businesses, have had to re-shape our business plan quickly to address the unprecedented economic landscape.
Our ethos from the start – which we have practiced and preached – has been that by taking proactive steps now, we can put our business, and our clients’ businesses, in a more secure position which will help us all to stay strong, recover faster and build for the future.
Part of our approach was to launch a series of webinars which focused on key areas of marketing and communications we felt businesses might struggle with over this time. These provide practical advice and tips which webinar attendees could quickly apply to their business. We launched these at the end of March and covered topics such as supporting business development, digital quick wins, maximising marketing and effective communications.
We worked in partnership with key industry networks including the North East Automotive Alliance, the North East of England Process Industries Cluster, the Advanced Manufacturing Form and Make UK. They have been well received and as a result this week we launched our second series of webinars which focus on internal communications, using LinkedIn effectively, diversification and digital strategy – all areas of importance at this time.
It was our 10th anniversary in March 2020 but given the Coronavirus pandemic we didn’t celebrate this or share the news as we didn’t think it was an appropriate time to do so. Instead, we will mark the occasion later this year – not as we had originally planned but watch this space!
Finally, despite the chaos the pandemic has thrown upon us, we have been fortunate enough to bring on board some new clients. We are thrilled to welcome on board Hart Door Systems, Tech Projects and Atlas Copco, all of which you can read about below.
If you need any additional support at this time, we are here to help you in a number of ways. Whether this is to help you re-shape your marketing strategy, research new markets, help you launch new product or services or just giving your PR and Marketing a boost at this time to keep you at the forefront, then please get in touch.
