Event for manufacturers on marketing for global growth

North East manufacturers will be provided expert advice on Marketing for Global Growth, at the AMF Marketing Club which will be held at Manufacturing and Engineering 2017.

The Advanced Manufacturing Forum (AMF) will host its quarterly Marketing Club, with its strategic marketing partner Horizon Works, at the North East Manufacturing and Engineering Expo 2017 on Wednesday 5 July.

Now in its third year, Manufacturing & Engineering 2017 will return to the Metro Radio Arena on Wednesday 5 and Thursday 6 July 2017, with the aim of championing the UK engineering and manufacturing sector, as well as providing a platform from which to build on the North East’s successful industrial heritage.

The AMF Marketing Club, themed around ‘Marketing for Global Growth’, will provide North East manufacturers with invaluable support and advice from expert guest speakers who will share examples and advice on how to create and implement marketing plans on a global scale.

Speaking at the AMF Marketing Club is: Charlie Nettle, head of marketing and business development at AV Dawson Limited, who will discuss building a brand by defining a strong set of values – and how these impact global growth; Alan Richardson, contracts and export manager at Hart Doors, who will tell his story from a distributor marketing perspective; and Faye Longridge, marketing executive at Palintest, who will share the company’s experience of building and maintaining a consistent global brand.

The event, which will include a networking session, will also see Samantha Davidson, managing director at Horizon Works, host a panel discussion with the expert guest speakers.

Launched in October 2016, by the AMF and Horizon Works, the Marketing Club is a quarterly event that aims to share marketing expertise which can be utilised to continuously grow the capabilities and success of the North East’s manufacturing firms.

Established by the private sector in 2006 to offer a single voice on behalf of the manufacturing community, the AMF is now the largest manufacturing forum in the North East, engaging with members and the wider business community to exchange ideas and knowledge to create business growth and success opportunities within the manufacturing industry.

Launched in 2010 by Samantha Davidson, Horizon Works is a full-service agency which specialises in business to business strategic marketing across a variety of industries including manufacturing and engineering, healthcare and life sciences, technology and innovation, professional services and the public sector.

It is with our industry expertise that we set up the AMF Marketing Club to help encourage growth opportunities for North East manufacturers, be that on a regional, national or international scale.

As well as hosting the Marketing Club, the AMF also runs a quarterly HR Forum, Finance Forum, Process Improvement Group and monthly meetings, for its members.

The AMF offers members business support and advice on areas ranging from funding to staffing, marketing, environmental issues, HR, IT and legal guidance, as well as providing support to members on productivity, innovation and training and skills.

The free-to-attend event will be held on Wednesday 5 July 2017, 1:30-3:00pm followed by a networking session 3pm-4pm, at the Metro Radio Arena.
