Gem Partnership

Background

Based in North East England, GEM Partnership was launched in 2009 to deliver recruitment solutions for employers and candidates in the region.

In 2017, the company launched a training division, which was rated ‘Good’ by Oftsed in 2022.

GEM Partnership operates across sectors including manufacturing and engineering, transport and logistics, technology and IT, and professional services.

Our approach

GEM Partnership’s specialities had previously been delivered under sub-brands including GEM Training, GEM Premium People, GEM Professional Services and GEM Talent Search. The company lacked a defined proposition and its holistic offering wasn’t conveyed across its internal and external communications channels.

GEM Partnership therefore needed a marketing strategy and brand that would support the company in more effectively engaging with its target audiences.

Solution

  • Research including a communications audit, competitor analysis and customer journey analysis
  • Creation of a unified brand identity and a defined brand proposition
  • Creation of a suite of key messages to be used consistently across all marketing and communications platforms
  • Creation of a marketing strategy and brand roll-out plan

Results

  • GEM Partnership now has a clear, defined brand that resonates with its target audiences
  • The brand has now been applied across GEM Partnership – from its social media to its uniforms
  • As a result of this work, Horizon Works was commissioned to create a new website for GEM Partnership and we were hired as the company’s marketing partner

“Horizon Works is our partner of choice. They have been able to encapsulate our vision as well as gain insightful feedback from our clients on where we wanted to take our brand and website to.

“We’ve had nothing but compliments on our new brand and website, which we now know reflects where we position ourselves in the marketplace. We are continuing to work with Horizon Works on a retainer basis to support our social media strategy and push out our new brand.”
