Wealth management firm strengthens its team with two new appointments
Broad Chare Partners has strengthened its team with two new appointments, as part of its ambitious growth plans.
Newcastle-based wealth management firm Broad Chare Partners has appointed Christopher Straker as financial planner and Lois Prest as marketing executive.
Established in 2006, Broad Chare Partners specialises in delivering face-to-face wealth management advice to individuals, trustees and businesses. Services range from and include protection, investment and inheritance tax planning, profit extraction and succession planning.
Chris will be responsible for advising individuals and businesses on their financial planning. This will cover a range of specialisms including: retirement planning, investment planning and cash management.
Chris has previously worked at Northern Rock and Leeds Building Society, is a member of The Chartered Insurance Institute and the North-East Chamber of Commerce. Holding a BA Hons Business Management, Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice, and a Diploma in Financial Advice, Chris has an extensive breadth and depth of experience as a financial planner.
Lois, who graduated from Newcastle University with a BA Hons Media, Communication and Cultural Studies has completed an online marketing internship and has also held roles such as media communications assistant and social media marketing manager. She has experience in search engine optimisation, Google Analytics, event organisation and content writing.
She will be responsible for implementing marketing strategies and campaigns, through both print and digital channels.

The new appointments come at a time of sustained growth for Broad Chare Partners, which last year celebrated its ten-year anniversary. This milestone saw the company refresh its brand, which included a new logo and visual style to demonstrate the company’s reputation for high quality client service.
Broad Chare Partners also purchased and renovated a Grade II listed property on Leazes Park Road, this facility offers more space, enabling the company to accommodate its growing team.
