Gestamp Tallent is part of Gestamp, a multinational company present in 24 countries that specialises in highly engineered metal components for vehicle manufacturers. Its site in Aycliffe Business Park, Newton Aycliffe has 1100 employees and boasts a wellbeing centre and training academy.
The challenge
In 2023, Gestamp Tallent was celebrating 75 years of business at Aycliffe Business Park, and along with a programme of employee events, the company wanted to mark the occasion with a permanent display of the site’s history.
The facility’s newly refurbished reception area was the perfect place for a visual statement that could make a lasting impression…
What we did
Drawing on our creative expertise, we designed and eye-catching wall graphic to illustrate the journey of the company from its origins the site of a WW2 munitions factory to the present day.
The timeline captures the key products designed and manufactured at the site, its investment in R&D and specialist equipment, and Gestamp Tallent’s commitment to its people.
The impact
The timeline has been a conversation starter for employees and visitors alike, and it has also been used in the Gestamp Tallent Plant Training Academy, where new starters are introduced to the company.
It has also become a source of pride for employees, many of which connect with the heritage of the company and site.
