Horizon Works is one of the founding members of The North East Automotive Alliance (NEAA), which champions the automotive sector in North East England and is one of the largest automotive clusters in the UK. The NEAA’s annual flagship event, the North East Automotive Expo, draws delegates and exhibitors from across the supply chain, and features a conference programme which tackles industry issues and developments.
The challenge
The NEAA needed a fresh new visual style for the expo, one that would bring its 10th edition to the attention of automotive professionals from across the UK.
A toolkit of assets were required, to promote the event across multiple channels, plus an expo programme for distribution to delegates and exhibitors.
What we did
The expo logo and visual style was shaped to reflect the evolution of the automotive industry and the growing capabilities of North East England in the EV market. This was then applied to a wide range of social media assets, plus an 11-metre long wall graphic at expo venue The Beacon Of Light. Designed to emulate a car dashboard, it featured facts and figures on the strengths of the North East automotive sector, and the dashboard was also used in a presentation by Paul Butler, Chief Executive of the NEAA, during the conference.
We also liaised closely with the NEAA team to design a comprehensive event programme.
The impact
The North East Automotive Expo was another major success for the NEAA, with delegates arriving from across the UK. Our assets were used extensively in the run-up to the event by both the NEAA team and exhibitors, building a buzz for the expo on social media, and the wall graphic proved to be an eye catching centrepiece.
It’s been a pleasure working with the Horizon Works team on the brand refresh for the North East Automotive Expo 2025. As we celebrated the tenth year of the event, we wanted a visual identity that marked the milestone with impact and reflected the dynamic nature of the automotive industry.
The updated styling has been very well received, with many positive comments from attendees. It looked fantastic throughout the venue – especially the striking 11-metre automotive dashboard graphic, which showcased key facts and figures from across the North East sector."
