Engineering and Manufacturing Network to reveal its vision for the future at networking event

20th April 2023

North East England’s engineering and manufacturing community can get a taste of what’s to come from the Engineering and Manufacturing Network (EMN), at a special event at Rainton Arena, Houghton-le-Spring, next month.

The Engineers & Manufacturers Assemble event will take place on April 21 from 8.30am to 10.30am. It will give companies and their staff a chance to find out about EMN’s exciting new events programme, hear about developments around EMN’s flagship event, EMCON 2023 and provide an insight into the opportunities, knowledge and relationships that EMN members can tap into.

The free event, which is open to both EMN members and non-members, will bring together engineering and manufacturing companies from across the North East, from small scale SMEs to PLCs.

Delegates in roles across the engineering and manufacturing sector will be able to network, discuss their challenges, share experiences and build new relationships.

Engineers & Manufacturers Assemble will also include breakfast and an informative panel discussion with a number of engineering and manufacturing experts.

EMN is dedicated to building and strengthening North East England’s engineering and manufacturing community and has a membership stretching across the region. It is dedicated to supporting all the people who help organisations function and succeed.

EMN helps businesses and people to solve problems, gain valuable knowledge, forge relationships and discover new opportunities, through events, peer to peer support, expert advice and collaboration.

David Land, chairman of EMN said: “We are bringing the engineering and manufacturing community together at Engineers & Manufacturers Assemble to strengthen collaboration and demonstrate how businesses and their people can solve problems, improve performance and access opportunities through the support of EMN and our members.

“We’re excited to be revealing more about our new events programme, partnerships and EMCON, which is now in its 15th year.

“We’ll also be showing everyone working within our community – from maintenance teams to HR staff, financial directors to R&D specialists – how EMN is evolving.

“The North East’s manufacturing and engineering businesses have faced numerous challenges over recent years, and our network gives their staff at all levels an environment where they can voice concerns, gain impartial peer to peer advice and access specialist expertise.

“Engineers & Manufacturers Assemble will give delegates the chance to experience this at first hand – and we’re really looking forward to it!”

Headquartered in County Durham, in the heart of North East England, EMN is a long-standing, trusted cross-sector network and delivers North East England’s flagship engineering and manufacturing event, EMCON.
