And this presents a fantastic opportunity for companies who wish to support or lead in sectors including offshore renewables, subsea engineering, electrification, advanced engineering, advanced manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and food and drink processing.

We have partnered with Advance Northumberland to deliver this event for manufacturing and engineering companies who wish to learn more about developments in the county’s key industrial sectors, the support available to businesses, development sites – including Enterprise Zones, supply chain opportunities, skills and workforce development initiatives, and what’s on the horizon for Northumberland!

Taking place at our Event Space at Northumberland Business Park near Cramlington, the event will feature a presentation from Advance Northumberland, a Q an A session and panel discussion, networking, lunch and of course plenty of coffee too!

Advance Northumberland will:

  • Provide an overview of key opportunities and developments across sectors including offshore energy, electrification and food and drink production
  • Look at the importance of pharmaceutical manufacturing in Northumberland and investments in this sector.
  • Examine opportunities stemming from decarbonisation and energy transition
  • Explore how Northumberland is helping to develop the engineering and manufacturing workforce of the future – and support skills development in its current workforce – through initiatives such as the Energy Central Learning Hub and Blyth’s Welding and Fabrication training facility and The 21st Century Workforce for Northumberland programme
  • Deliver guidance on what support is available from Advance Northumberland to help businesses grow in Northumberland

The event is free to attend for North East England-based engineering and manufacturing companies.
