Taking place at our Event Space at Northumberland Business Park near Cramlington, the event will help you to understand what opportunities are available for North East-based manufacturing and engineering companies in the sector. There will also be networking, lunch and plenty of coffee too!

Our guest speaker is Andrew Kinniburgh, Director-General at Make UK Defence.

Andrew’s presentation will:

  • Provide up-to-the-minute insight on the defence industry landscape and its opportunities
  • De-bunk some myths around supplying into the sector
  • Examine how manufacturers can engage with defence primes, the Ministry of Defence and tier 1 and tier 2 suppliers
  • Explore what support is available for SMEs

The event will also feature a case study from a North East-based manufacturer, which will provide further insight into how SMEs can diversify into defence.

In addition, there will be a panel discussion and Q and A session.

The event is free to attend for North East England-based engineering and manufacturing companies and is open to both members and non-members of Make UK Defence.
