Horizon Works gets social at Offshore Wind North East
27th November 2024
Horizon Works has both sponsored and exhibited at Offshore Wind North East in recent years, and we always feel lucky that this major industry event is on our doorstep.
Taking place at the Beacon of Light in Sunderland, OWNE, which is delivered by NOF, is a leading event that explores themes and opportunities in the offshore wind sector. Every year, it brings together an impressive line-up of speakers to update delegates on business activities and opportunities for the supply chain, and is attended by exhibitors from across the energy sector – from wind farm developers to software specialists.
At this year’s event, which took place on November 6 and 7, we brought our social media expertise to bear for NOF, as we were commissioned to deliver social media content throughout the event and the Offshore Wind North East Networking Dinner at the Stadium of Light.
Our work included capturing insights at OWNE’s extensive panel sessions and reporting on speeches by major regional and industry figures – including North East Mayor Kim McGuiness, who was speaking at the event for the first time.
And we helped to bring OWNE to life on social media, through shooting video content, conducting interviews and covering the event’s many highlights – from inspection robots and interactive exhibits to magicians and even a band featuring NOF’s Conference and Exhibition Manager Phillipa Smith.
Samantha Vassallo, Managing Director of Horizon Works, said: “We were delighted to support NOF in promoting this vibrant and vital event, which shines the spotlight on North East England’s role in the drive to Net Zero and the energy transition, and has been bringing the offshore wind community together for many years.”
NOF is a UK-wide business development membership organisation which helps to make connections between businesses in the global energy sector.
