Horizon Works is proud to announce the launch of a new fundraising initiative in support of Blyth Star Enterprises, with activity officially kicking off at this year’s Nuclear North East England Conference & Exhibition.
The initiative reflects Horizon Works’ ongoing commitment to supporting meaningful causes within the North East and making a positive difference in local communities.
Blyth Star Enterprises is a Northumberland-based charity dedicated to supporting individuals living with complex mental health needs and learning disabilities. Through its tailored approach, the organisation provides vital services including supported living, day opportunities and skills development.
The charity plays an essential role in helping people to build confidence, develop independence and engage more actively in their communities. Its work aligns closely with Horizon Works’ values of collaboration, inclusion and long-term positive impact.
As part of the fundraising campaign, Horizon Works is introducing a simple but impactful initiative at the events and exhibitions it attends throughout the year. For every business card submitted at the Horizon Works stand, the company will donate £1 to Blyth Star Enterprises. This approach transforms everyday networking into an opportunity to give back, allowing clients, partners and new connections to contribute directly to a worthwhile cause.
The campaign officially launches at the Nuclear North East England Conference & Exhibition, taking place on 21 May 2026, where Horizon Works will be exhibiting. As a key event in the region’s industrial calendar, the conference brings together organisations across the nuclear and energy sectors—making it the perfect platform to introduce the initiative and raise awareness of Blyth Star’s work.
Visitors to the Horizon Works stand will be encouraged to get involved by submitting their business cards and learning more about the charity.
Samantha Vassallo, Managing Director at Horizon Works, commented: “We’re proud to be supporting Blyth Star Enterprises through this initiative. Their work has a genuine impact on people’s lives across our region, and we wanted to create a simple but meaningful way for our network to get involved. By turning everyday conversations at events into donations, we hope to make a real difference over the year ahead.”
In addition to event-based fundraising, the Horizon Works team will be taking part in a series of internal initiatives and challenges across the year, all designed to generate additional donations. From team activities to creative fundraising efforts, colleagues across the business will be actively contributing to the campaign – reinforcing a shared commitment to giving back.
The Nuclear Conference marks just the beginning of a wider programme of fundraising activity. Horizon Works will be continuing its efforts across a range of industry events, exhibitions and networking opportunities throughout the year.
By embedding fundraising into its day-to-day activity, the company aims to generate consistent support for Blyth Star Enterprises while also helping to raise awareness of the charity’s important work.
