Horizon Works selected to showcase Northumberland’s Manufacturing Sector

23rd October 2019

Four manufacturing businesses based in Northumberland have been successful in securing fully funded exhibition space at a major industry conference in October.

Taking place at the NEC in Birmingham, the Advanced Engineering 2019 exhibition is the UK’s largest annual exhibition and conference for advanced manufacturers and supply chain professionals with more than 500 different suppliers in attendance

Advance Northumberland, who are funding the exhibition space and hosting the Northumberland Pavilion, opened up the application process to all manufacturing linked businesses across the county before selecting Arian EMS, AVID Technology, Horizon Works, and Eminent Engineering to represent the county.

Advance Northumberland will showcase investment opportunities and the strength of the supply chain manufacturing cluster in Northumberland by offering a platform for businesses operating in the supply chain that are looking to grow or diversify their business.

With opportunities to network with some 15,000 professionals from OEMs and supply chain partners, Advanced Engineering provides a platform for knowledge transfer and business discussions across: R&D, design, test, measurement & inspection, raw materials & processing, manufacturing, production and automation. The show is taking place from 30th to 31st October 2019 at Birmingham NEC.

Richard Wearmouth, Chair of Advance Northumberland said, “We have a strong manufacturing sector in Northumberland and it’s great to see that illustrated through these four businesses. They all bring something different to the table so we will be able to demonstrate the variety of opportunities within Northumberland and showcase the county as a great place to do business and encourage new inward investment projects.”

Ryan Maughan MD of AVID said: “AVID is extremely proud to have this opportunity to showcase our leading technology expertise.  We are delighted to be part of the Northumberland pavilion and we would like to thank Advance Northumberland for the opportunity to attend the exhibition, we are looking forward to showcase our products and services alongside some of the other successful companies from our county.”
