Samantha launched Horizon Works in January 2010 and has grown the business and team of marketing specialists over this time. She has over 24 years’ experience of managing and delivering strategic marketing campaigns. A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (FCIM) Samantha is responsible for the operational aspects of running of the business including business growth, business development and marketing.

Samantha enjoys working with business owners in shaping their marketing strategies and growth plans.

Antonia Edwards

Client Director | Specialism - Strategy and Planning

Antonia has been the company for over 8 years and is responsible for the overall management and growth of our client portfolio overseeing all aspects of strategic engagement and leading the client services delivery team. Antonia has a wealth of experience in developing marketing strategies for clients and strategic PR and communications.

Antonia holds a wealth of experience in PR, media relations, copy writing, social media, strategy, policy development and implementing PR and marketing campaigns.

Louise Fielding-Smith

Head of Client Services / Client Partner | Specialism - PR and Communications

Louise is a PR and Communications graduate with over 15 years’ experience. Louise has worked with many SME tech based clients and has also worked with clients in construction, pharmaceutical and publishing. Louise has a passion for clients who have an interesting story to tell. She works alongside Richard and his team on the delivery of marketing and PR campaigns.

Louise specialises in strategic communications, marketing automation, content development, media and PR, lead generation and integrated campaigns across social media, PR and digital.

Richard Holmes

Sales and Marketing Manager | Specialism - Networking and Relationships

Richard has worked in a variety of client delivery roles at Horizon Works over the past 10 years before taking this newly developed role as business development manager. He will support us in developing strong relationships with industry clusters across the UK. He is a Periodicals Training Council-accredited former journalist and was Group Editor at a Newcastle-based publishing company for eight years.

Richard’s background includes PR and media relations, content and messaging and technical content including for white papers, technical articles, and targeted campaigns.

Jennifer Dugdale

Client Partner | Specialism - PR, Campaigns and Events

Jen has more than twenty years’ experience and has been with the company since 2011. She has delivered several successful marketing campaigns for her clients from a range of B2B sectors. Prior to joining Horizon Works, Jen worked in a variety of marketing roles for Durham County Council, the Inta Group, Statex Colour Print and Bluebell Telecom.

Jen specialises in many areas such as communication, commercial awareness, campaign management, strategy, creativity, digital and analytical.

Lauren Ford

Strategic Marketing Specialist | Specialism - PR and Strategic Communications

Lauren brings over a decade of experience in communication strategy to the Horizon Works team, having worked with regional and international clients across the infrastructure, transportation, and retail sectors. Holding a Master’s degree in Public Relations and CIPR Accreditation, she excels in crafting strategic PR and marketing campaigns designed to boost brand visibility and create compelling narratives.

Her specialties include strategy development, media relations, content writing, public affairs, crisis communications, and delivering impactful multi-platform communication campaigns.

Alex Finney

Senior Creative Designer | Specialism - Brand and Creative

Alex, who is originally from Yorkshire, has worked for brand and design agencies across the North, including McCann Leeds and 10 Associates near Huddersfield. He has shaped eye-catching creative campaigns for companies in biotech, transport and energy, and is a specialist in elevating tech and innovation-focused B2B brands.

With skills in brand development, campaign design, web design, animation and illustration, Alex will further strengthen our experienced creative team, as we continue to empower engineering and manufacturing innovators – and help them reach their growth ambitions.

Sean Merone

Digital Marketing Specialist | Specialism - Analytics, SEO, PPC, Digital Campaigns

Sean has worked for Horizon Works for seven years and during this time he has supported on a range of client marketing campaigns across all aspects of the marketing mix with an emphasis on digital.

Sean manages all of our creative and digital projects from SEO, digital performance reporting, analytics, email marketing to social media, digital content, website management and integrated digital campaigns.

Judith Alderson

Creative Artworker | Specialism - Creative and Design

Judith, who holds a degree in Graphic Design, has more than 25 years of experience working in the creative industries. She has performed a variety of roles across advertising and design agencies in North East England, and has brought her expertise to campaigns for the NHS, higher education providers, global chemical processing companies, local authorities and shopping centres.

In her role, Judith produces digital and print marketing assets for our clients, supports brand roll-outs… and she’s passionate about the finer details!

Catherine Grant

Marketing Specialist | Specialism - Content, Social Media and Digital Campaigns

Catherine is a media studies graduate with 7 years’ marketing experience working in roles across digital content writing, social media and digital analytics for a range of companies, including digital marketing agencies across the North East of England. She loves to get involved with creative projects and generating ideas for campaigns.

At Horizon Works Catherine will support the client partners with a range of marketing support from market research and content writing to producing digital analytics reports and managing social media campaigns. Catherine will also coordinate Horizon Works’ marketing and events programme.

Brandi

Morale Booster | Specialism - Cuddles

Brandi has seven year’s experience at ensuring the office spirit is top notch. Constantly ensuring the team are happy in the office.

Her favourite activities in the office include fetch, sniffing out the biscuit tin and giving the team lots of cuddles.
